    Charles Rennie Mackintosh was one of the leading figures of Art Nouveau by the end of the 19th century. Born in 1868, he grew up with ten Brothers and sisters in Glasgow/ Scotland. Together with his wife Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh, her sister Frances MacDonald McNair and James Herbert McNair, better known as “The Four”, he created a unique Scottish interpretation of Art Nouveau which has become famous as Glasgow Style.

    Mackintosh, architect, interior architect, designer, graphic and painter, was an influential and important Protagonist of Modern Art.
