Romero Britto is one of the most important Pop Art artists of the present. Born in 1963, the Brazilian neo-pop artist, painter, serigrapher and sculptor combines elements of Cubism, Pop Art and graffiti painting in his work. Britto has lived in Miami, Florida since 1989. His messages are in direct succession with artists like Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and Tom Wesselmann. Even before him, pop art stars such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring designed the label for the brand. Further cooperations with global companies followed.

The artist constantly challenges himself and produces other works for Movado, Pepsi, BMW, Enrico Coveri, Disney, Royal Caribbean Cruises and for the United Nations. Britto owns a major art gallery in South Beach, Miami. In 2005 he was named Florida's art ambassador.

Britto can now be found in galleries and museums on five continents. In more than twenty cities, the Britto sculpture is available as a permanent installation. Britto is the first artist to exhibit a sculpture in London's Hyde Park.
