Even if not all hurdles can be taken, the target is: energy and will to succeed. For this energy performance, coupled with movement and dynamism, symbolically stands my sculpture The jumper. The jumping leg has for it the main statement and should stand out in color from the rest of the body of the figure. A neutral white patination I have deliberately chosen to neutralize the body. Symbolism of the colors: Red: power, material thinking, assertiveness, blue: loyalty, emotional action, yellow: intellectuality, search for new ways.
Jörg Bollin
Jörg Bollin is a stone sculptor by training - like his father and grandfather - and grew up with the material stone and the tools of the trade. He completed his apprenticeship in the construction lodge of the Freiburg Cathedral in 1963; the following year he became the national winner in the performance competition for young stone sculptors. In 1974, when he had already held his master's title for five years, he took over his father's stonemasonry and sculpture workshop.
