    Frido Graziani (1914)

Frido Graziani grew up in Peitrasanta, where he also attended art school. After a few years as an assistant to the sculptor Umberto de Giovanni, he opened his own studio in 1940, but at the same time continued to maintain close working contact with the most famous sculptors of the region.

Graziani sculpts in clay and wax and works in bronze and marble; one focus of his work is portraits, especially of children. Graziani's works, following his own request, have almost never been shown in galleries or exhibitions; they are mainly found in public spaces. One of his most famous works is the sculpture "Children under the umbrella" in the city of Neuchâtel.
