How does your bronze artwork stay beautiful?

A bronze work of art will last a lifetime, whether it's indoors, in your garden or on a terrace. Good quality sculptures in all weathers will withstand the influences of the weather without any problems but can be visibly influenced by turning green or white or by getting darker. Bronze statues can also 'sweat'! You can see this because they oxidize something in certain places. This is visible as a kind of powdery rust formation.

Cleaning

Your bronze statue is, if desired, easy to clean. If necessary, use a high-pressure cleaner (not too much pressure!) for cleaning and polish the work of art when dry with the wax. Use the grey sponge and/or the blue polishing cloth. You'll see that by using the sponge you can easily remove any remaining impurities (bird droppings, dirt). The sponge is also ideal to reach difficult to reach places. Moreover, the sponge absorbs virtually no wax so you save valuable laundry. You can use the brush where necessary.

Use the clear wax if you do not want the image to be darker after the brushing and the dark wax if the image has this color.

Polishing

The best result is achieved when the image is slightly heated by the sun. Bronze also has 'pores' and the wax does its work better when it is absorbed slightly by the bronze. Use the orange cloth for polishing. The result is an image that remains 'like new' for years. Keep in mind that this maintenance process will have to be repeated after a certain period of time, depending on the circumstances.
