Catherine Boulogne (1950)

Catherine Boulogne is a trained painter. After her studies at the University of Fine Arts in Paris, she also began to work sculpturally. Characteristic of her sculptures, which have long been in demand internationally, is that the artist sees the decorative - she worked for several years as a window dresser in the famous department store "Galeries Lafayette" in Paris - and especially humor as an important component of her art. 

This is not to be overlooked in her "Garden Spirits". The Five Figures are convincing in terms of craftsmanship and artistry - and at the same time they conjure up a smile on the viewer's face, for they are endowed with all too human idiosyncrasies. They are personalities, and so of course one of them deserves a name like the other.
