Eva Roucka was born in Pilsen. Her first artistic training was at the Prague School of Graphic Arts and the ceramic school in the same city in the then Czechoslovakia from 1969 to 1979. In 1982, she emigrated to France and continued her studies at the Paris art college. Since then, she has been living a cosmopolitan life and has done projects in many different countries. Her works were awarded international distinction early on. From 1991-1992 alone, she received awards in Mexico, France and Japan, and many more were to follow.
