Description

The magic of lithophany comes from the play of light with the translucent nature of porcelain. By illuminating the inside, it projects a warm light throughout the room and accentuates the engraving that decorates it, creating surprising relief effects on the surface. This piece is inspired by the main characters of The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky's famous ballet based on a story by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. The beautiful dancer and her new toy, the old nutcracker, are surrounded by decorative motifs in the form of candies and treats.
