Description

Inspired by the original models found in the Carriage Museum in Lisbon, this large Baroque-style salon is one of the most complex and ambitious works by the artists of the Lladró High Porcelain Workshop. It is an example of extraordinarily beautiful, ornate ornamentation. The nobles of European courts extended the splendor of their palaces to the streets with these magnificent carriages. In this limited edition, attention has been paid to everything, down to the smallest detail: the four horses, the uniforms of the servants, the gowns of the bride and groom, and especially the decoration of the carriage. About fifty different colors were used for the decoration, and their application required about a hundred hours of meticulous work by the artists. The completion of each piece required the cooperation of more than twenty different specialists who together spent about 300 hours on the work. The result is a piece that, once fired, is more than a meter long and weighs about twenty kilograms.
