Andrea Kraft (1965)

Andrea Kraft, who lives in Dortmund as a freelance artist, studied object design at the University of Applied Science in Dortmund with study visits to Greece, France and the USA. She has been a lecturer in the field of "plastic design" for many years, so it is not surprising that her works focus in particular on the effect of space or the interplay between object and space. Kraft's large-scale objects play with space and its limitations. Leaning against the wall, they create their own spatial environment. Andrea Kraft has deliberately given her sculptures expressive titles. Thus, on the one hand they are abstracted sculptures, but on the other hand they are also metaphors for profoundly human basic feelings.
