Description

The Carnival of Venice, the most romantic and sophisticated in the world, is the theme Lladró has chosen for the creation of his greatest artistic and technical challenge to date; a monumental, exquisitely crafted Baroque work. This creation of high porcelain, executed in a limited edition of only 100 pieces, is designed to be admired from all angles, just like Venice during the height of carnival. The figures are inspired by the Italian commedia dell'arte: Harlequin, Colombina, Pantalone, Pierrot, Scaramouche ... all surrounded by the richest scenes. It is a milestone in the history of porcelain art, whose creative process took five years of research and testing. The work of 35 artists and 22,000 hours were invested, along with some 450 fragments, to breathe life into this new creation of 14 figures.
