Lladró figurines often refer to a timeless romance, an undefined yet extremely familiar world in space and time. Here we find all that is good, noble and beautiful in life. This is also the case with "Tea," which presents us with a peaceful, evocative scene. The key to the realism and beauty of this work is the mise-en-scène, in which the delicate figures of the protagonists and the precise decoration of their surroundings occupy an important place. This limited edition High Porcelain captures the sophistication of an entire era, in a bucolic scene that reflects the quiet cadence of a unique moment. Special mention must be made of the 300 or so flowers, some of which form a complex garland and which posed a technical challenge to the experts at Lladró, particularly in the baking process. The fans and dresses of the three ladies are enriched with embroidery and hand-painted prints and lace. More than 70 colors were used to decorate a piece full of the smallest details that make it a masterpiece.
